Doubles from Trini Paki Cart

It's difficult to find something more affordable than doubles from the Trini Paki Cart. I actually had it maybe a month or two ago and I can't even remember the price, but I think it was $2. It's really a simple thing. You get two pieces of flat breads and you spread some chick peas in the middle of the bread, and you get this really delicious carb-y sandwich kinda thing. Even though it might look like a sandwich, you'd be wise to eat this delicious thing with a fork because it gets a little messy if you tried to pick it up. They even add some hot sauce on there if you want an extra kick, and it makes a difference for sure. If you don't know where to find the Trini Paki Cart, it's on 6th ave and 43rd street, on the south east corner of the intersection.

It's difficult to figure out a cheaper lunch option besides perhaps dollar dumplings, but we don't have that here in Midtown for lunch. It's a shame really... I'm sure Prosperity Dumplings or White Bear would kick ass here around lunch time. Posting is going to be slow while I try to update some code on the site. I'm trying to make a little feature that'll involve some programming time, so stay tuned for that. I'm going to wow you with underwelmingness, for sure.

  • I like the doubles from the Trini cart too! Good stuff. Cheap and filling. I think it's the spice.

  • @Tia,

word, i love this shit. supposedly a lot of people eat doubles for breakfast, i wonder what that's like... spicy for breakfast.

  • You forget I'm Korean. I eat spicy things all the time. In Korea, I ate kimchi jigae every day for breakfast!
