Excellent Pork Chop House wins again

When you tie your happiness around one thing, it really puts everything into perspective. When you cannot have it, it suck, when you can have it, it is great. When that one thing happens to be butter or in this case, pork, then you know you can always resuscitate yourself when need be. Such was the case a few weeks ago when I wanted to feel porky, err.. happy. Excellent Pork chop house was the obvious choice.

pork-chop

I have been to the Excellent Pork Chop House many times and have not really ventured away from the go-to dish, which is pork chops over rice. This time around I wanted to see what else they had on their picture menu. The shrimp fried rice looked good on the pictures and it seemed like a good choice. How do you judge a good fried rice? I am not really sure, but it definitely must have flavor. Sometimes when you get cheap take-out, and there is an option for fried rice, the rice is just bland and tasteless. Excellent Pork Chop House's shrimp fried rice was pretty decent, and they put a good amount of shrimp in rice. My friends mentioned some other places pile on more shrimp but the shrimp to rice ratio was still pretty good. Overall I recommend it if you want to try something else at the Excellent Pork Chop House.

fried-chicken-leg

In addition to the bangin' pork chop, we tried a fried chicken leg because many people seem to favor that as well. It was a good decision because the chicken skin was nice and crispy the way good fried chicken should be. I would not compare this to a Southern style fried chicken or even Korean fried chicken, but it was a good piece of meat.
