Something filling
I am just attracted to grimy places to eat lunch. When midtownlunch posted about the latin Food inside of a Blimpie, and how the Blimpie looked dirty, I knew that I had to give it a shot. It is a pretty straight forward place really, you get rice, beans, and one entree item. At a shade under six dollars, the perfect lunch item. And for those of you who just come to look at the pretty pictures, right now I am looking to upbeat songs to load onto my mp3 player. Tell me what gets your blood flowing while driving or pounding the pavements of your hometown. There you go, skip the rest of the words, skim the pictures, and offer a song suggestion. Thank you in advance my three loyal readers.
As for the lunch, I got stewed chicken with red beans over rice. The only bad thing I could possibly say was that the rice was not the best rice ever. I was not sure what 'good' rice would be, but for the price it was okay. Stewed chicken was very tender and the sauce was plenty flavorful. Everything was red though. Color variation definitely was not a huge deal, perhaps black beans would have offered a color contrast, but what difference does it make anyway? Cheap and delicious can come in any color as far as I am concerned.

I guess this means I'm reader #3...
For more than 6 bucks I've eaten aluminum tins of way worse looking crap than that in midtown. Tender chicken and rice soaked in sauce is right up my alley so I'll definitely have to make a visit.
As far as tunes go, you can't go wrong with anything from A Tribe Called Quest or System of a Down.

Scott,
Wow, thank you for all the suggestions! To answer you, I take a lot of pictures outdoors. For instance, in this post all three pictures were taken during lunch break outside, therefore the lighting was better. I hardly ever post about dinners because it is nearly impossible for a good shot at some restaurants. Sometimes I also like using a mini-tripod. And if you are indoors, bump up the iso as high as you can, 1600 or higher even though that does introduce some noise into the equation. The number one thing is probably take pictures outside. :)
Ang,
Lava? You mean DELICIOUS lava. mmmm
Dennis,
Haha, yes reader number 3! Yea I love the coverage midtownlunch does. There are other places that do latin-influenced food and do it slightly better, but none as cheap. And thanks for the music suggestions!

Wow, I must be a bonus reader - hooray for you!
That is a very red lunch. Dare I say it (I think I'm going to) I hope it wasn't as red coming out. ;)

You have your camera reach its best useage. No matter how much you pay for it, it worths the value. I am going to buy a camera during this holiday season. Could you give me some suggestions? Of course, my photo object will not be food but house. Thanks.

Agnes,
Hahaha... um..
Chicago,
I like Canon Powershot cameras, especially the ones with 'IS', which does Image Stabilization and helps with camera shake
