Ruby Tuesday is pricy
Ruby Tuesday started a new slogan called, "simple fresh American dining." Apparently it has not caught on with the burbs people since their profit dropped 49% in the first quarter. Ouch. Perhaps they spent too much money to make their Times Square restaurant look nice. Their CEO has promised to lower the price and have lunch options below $10 dollars in the future. If my hamburger cost $8 dollars as opposed to the $11, it would be just as enjoyable as a Goodburger.
One thing I liked about the Ruby Tuesday hamburger was that it was cooked to order. It was a surprise when the server asked about the temperature of the meat. When it came to the table, I cut it in half to discover that they indeed had cooked it to medium rare. The burger tasted pretty good and the toppings were fresh. You could see in the picture that it was not some limp tomato. The bun was slightly toasted but it just got soggy at the bottom because the juices were on the plate.
The french fries were slightly above average. Anytime the fries are seasoned, it would please me. At $11 dollars, the burger and fries were over priced. Hey CEO man, I could get the exact same burger somewhere else where the fries are better and no tip would be required. Get a clue buddy.
My friend got the ribs and I tasted it. Um.. it was okay. It tasted fine but it did not have any smoky flavor. If you went to another national chain like Outback Steakhouse or something, it would probably be the exact same ribs. We also tried a spinach-artichoke dip and that was standard fare too. Ruby Tuesday just was not at a price point that I could love. Repeat visit? Unlikely
While this is not appetizing, I would like to take this moment to remind people that Foot and mouth disease is still not a good thing. Putting food in your mouth is still good however. Oh, and just to see how many people are still paying attention by the time we get down here: I eat little babies for fun and poop on rich people. Still not reading? Ah, gotta love what Google Analytics tells you about the traffic and time-on-site.

It's kinda crazy how they cooked your burger to medium rare, considering they are really only supposed to cook it up to medium or above because of health reasons and liability. I guess they don't care about that kind of stuff in NYC. and they do have lunch options under 11.00

A few facts:
*Ruby's now has burgers for $5.99! CEO did keep up his promise teher!
*You get what you pay for. True you can go to "BurgerWorld" for 1/2 the price but you won't get it cooked to order or w/ prime toppings such as vine ripen tomatoes and leaf lettuce.
*Ruby's ribs are not nor do they claim to be "smoky." They are "classic BBQ" They have the most tender ribs (which is b/c they slow cook them for 4hrs) that you will find at any no rib specialty restaurant.
