Pinkberry is hollow too
Remember when I went to Oko for yogurt and found that in the huge cup, all they did was give you a bunch of air? Well as it turns out, Pinkberry does the exact same thing. Somehow I feel ripped off because the center holds so much of that yummy stuff called air. How lovely. Maybe I should just stop eating ice cream and frozen yogurt though. Tonight at home when I changed out of work clothes, the button on my pants popped off. It just could not take the pressure anymore and poof!
In my defense, all my toppings were fruit. However, that was actually a bad move because none of the fruit was sweet. My friend was smart and had some crushed Oreos. That was probably the right move, since the fruits were not in season. So much for tricking myself that it was just a big bowl of fruit. Shucks.
Get this, when I was about finished with the photography, the girl at the register told me, "Sir, there is no photography in here." I complied because it was the nice thing to do. However, it was just a stupid request. First, I had all my pictures already. Second, all the pictures were of my yogurt. MY YOGURT that I paid for with my money, and it was no longer property of Pinkberry. If the pictures were of the store that would have been one thing, but nooooo. Lastly, even if the pictures were of the store, and say I worked for a Pinkberry competitor, WTF are you gonna do? I could just shoot pictures of the store from the sidewalk, as all Pinkberry's in NYC have glass storefronts. I don't even remember what the yogurt tasted like, even though it was probably fine. Sheesh.

yeah, pinkberry is for sure on my hit list. reasons: too much air, too little yogurt. no photography. old fruit. captain crunch, but no reese's puffs. and for the love of monica lewinsky, frozen yogurt should taste SWEET, not like cold SOUR CREAM. die, pinkberry.

Ohhh I like that. "cold SOUR CREAM". that is a good description of frozen yogurt. Most of them taste like that though?

no no, the GOOD kind of fro-yo tastes sugary sweet like ice cream - think Tasty D-Lite. It is only all these new pinkberry type franchises with their 'tart' fro-yo that tastes like spoiled milk.

Hmmm, but I cannot trust anything that does not have calories! Tasty D-lite is pretty much the ice cream equivalent of Coke Zero, right? I love calories. mmm.. tasty.

I actually like Pinkberry. But it is just another way to get your lunch bill to exceed the GNP of a small county, after your $13 salad from Dishes.

Yea you are totally right about the price thing. That is the thing with a lot of these food choices in New York, they taste good, but if they were half the price? I would be a loyal customer. As it is, trying it out a few times is not so bad.

If the center is air, what else they will not do to cut the cost? See, old fruit is one of the evidences.

Yea I do think they are being cheap with the yogurt. Pinkberry is one of those things I would only eat once in a while.
