Broome Street Bar
A couple of weeks back I met up with my friends Jeremy and Mary Ann at a bar in Soho called Broome Street Bar. The object of my desire was their supposedly ultra delicious bacon cheeseburger.
We started it off with some nachos, and as you can see, they were super delicious and we pretty much wiped them clean. It was toped with chili, cheese, jalapeņos, and sour cream. I don't think it's possible to go wrong with that combo.
After that came the bacon cheeseburger. What sets Broome Street Bar from most joints is that they do away with the whole bun thing, and go with a pita. The good part about that is there's less bun to get in the way of your burger. The bad is that if you like a nice toasted bun, you're out of luck. Regardless, the main component of this particular bacon cheeseburger is the generous helping of bacon that you see in the picture.
They really pile it on, it's like they think bacon could help save the world (which it probably can). See, you can't even see the burger in that picture. Come to think of it, they should make a PURE BACON burger. It should be bun, bacon, belly of pork in fried form, and it should be called the BBB. I really should have thought of an acronym that started with three X's, that way I could add some porn key words for this blog with respect to my super poor google rankings.
I don't know what the bar looks like later at night, but when we were there it was pretty chill. You see just regular patrons eating dinner there. It's a nice neighborhood spot and the beer prices are not too bad. It's definitely a place I will keep in mind next time I want to indulge my taste buds in bacon
