Eat an ice cream sandwich already

Looking out the window after work these days is not as depressing as it was a few short months ago. I have an increased appreciation for this whole earth rotates on an axis and it spins around the sun. Loving longer days is easy to do. Want to know what do you do as the days grow longer? You eat ice cream sandwiches because longer days equal warmer temperatures. Enjoying any type of ice cream dessert is wise during the warmer months is the best, and the ice cream sandwich is simply one of the better options since you combines a baked good with a dairy dessert. This is not advisable if you're a lactose-intolerant vegan, of course. But that life is not worth living anyway. Sometimes you can make the ice cream sandwich with cookies. Although these things appear to work best with brownies because a cookie doesn't freeze as well sometimes. You can get an ice cream sandwich from Bierkraft for around $6. It might be a bit steep but I don't eat this everyday. It's a treat.

It's true the Bierkraft ice cream sandwich might not pose the best value proposition in the world of ice cream sandwiches. It does have a few things going for it. It's roughly the same size as the diameter of my palm which makes it of decent size. It takes you a while to work through the sandwich too, it's no dainty little thing. Best thing to do is to share the sandwich with someone.

I don't have the resources or time to rank the best ice cream sandwiches in NY, but this has to be one of them. If you're in the Park Slope area of Brooklyn, this is worth checking out.

  • Bierkraft is a miracle. The $6 ice cream sandwich is definitely a once-in-a-while treat, but $10/$15 growlers of great beer and $10 over-the-top sandwiches are hella good anytime. I'm making my next trip over there this week!

  • @James,

Oh man, maybe I do have to try one of those sandwiches. They look simply ginormous. mmm..

  • aren't you on a diet? also, how come you come to Park Slope and don't say hi?
